TAQA Bratani and Gulf Offshore announce £multi-million North Sea contract

Gulf Offshore N.S. Ltd has been awarded a £multi-million, five-year contract by TAQA Bratani Limited (TAQA) for offshore platform supply services by the vessel Highland Prestige.Perry Kennedy, Gulf Offshore Managing Director, said: “This exciting, high profile charter was won following a rigorous tendering process. The Aker 09 DE platform supply vessel Highland Prestige was designed and built in Norway in 2007 with environmentally friendly characteristics at the forefront.
The ship’s special hull form, variable direction/speed azi-pull propellers and advanced diesel electric switchboard flexibility ensure minimum fuel consumption. At 86.6 meters long the 4,850 deadweight DP vessel provides a very large 1000m2 clear deck cargo area.
