Scana Industrier announces contracts award for casting to offshore project

Scana Industrier ASA has through its subsidiary Scana Steel Stavanger, been awarded contracts from offshore contractor for delivery of mooring casting intended for the Australian and UK offshore sector.The value of the contracts is 40 MNOK. The contracts will commence activities immediately and project deliveries will be completed within third quarter 2012.
These contracts further strengthens Scana positions as one of the leading foundry's for mooring equipment castings to the Oil & Gas business. -Scana has chosen the Energy market as our primary market and our companies are gradually increasing their focus on this market.
Also, all Scana companies will gradually increase the degree of finishing of products, which will strengthen our competitive position, Rolf Roverud, CEO Scana Industrier ASA, says.
Scana Steel Stavanger is in the midst of their change process towards more finished products and more demanding offshore orders. From delivery of rough machined steel components to more complete deliveries for demanding energy and oil & gas customers.
The customer for these new orders is a very solid player in the oil and gas sector. Therefore, it is particularly gratifying to see Scana Steel Stavanger in a very short time building a 75 MNOK order book with this customer, Roverud says.
