Pars Oil & Gas Company announces oil industry determined to develop shared fields

As a result of national will, Iranian oil industry is determined to remove the hurdles in the way of developing shared oil and gas fields and to meet their financial needs.

Iranian minister of petroleum made the remarks in Kharg Island during his today visit to a NGL project adding Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution and Iranian president are pursuing the issue closely and that is why special attention has been paid to development of these fields.

Qasemi reported of starting development of many oil and gas fields in border areas expressing hope oil industry efforts to bear fruit in near future by starting oil and gas production.

Elsewhere in his remarks, Qasemi said petroleum ministry had intensified its efforts to meet financial needs of Kharg NGL project as the largest gathering associated gases in Persian Gulf expressing hope the project become operational as soon as possible.

Stressing on necessity of launching NGL project and its downstream facilities at the shortest time, he said: The country should take advantage of economic and environmental benefits of the project.

He referred to lagging behind the timetable in implementation of the projects as one of concerns of the oil industry adding even though we are sure about oil industry capabilities but related decisions should be made timely, right and immediate.

Alluding to the first days of sanctions in July 2012, Qasemi said that oil industry had left behind tough conditions by support of oil industry forces and experts as well as special attention paid to the industry.

Those who imposed sanctions against oil industry have nothing new to resort to as a means to put pressure on oil industry, minister of petroleum said asking oil industry staff taking step in the right direction and sidestep marginal issues.
