Pars Oil & Gas Company announces loading operations of South Pars phase 20 jacket kicked off in Khorramshahr Yard

SPD 20 Jacket was loaded in Khorramshahr Yard for being shipped to Persian Gulf Waters.

With its related accessories, the jacket weighs 3,300 tons and it was conveyed on to the barge from the offshore construction site in Khorramshahr Yard, and after being secured, it shall be headed toward the installation site in phase 20, SHANA correspondent reported.

This 67-meter-high jacket is going to be installed on SPD 20 Site, some 115 Km. away from Asalouyeh, in the water depth of 61 meters, managing director of Iranian Offshore Engineering and Construction Company (IOEC) said at the sidelines of the jacket loading ceremony.
By applying certain procedures, IOEC has succeeded to reduce the time required for transfer and installation of marine structures from 19 to 11 days, Dr. Ali Taheri Motlagh added.

Due to accelerating the completion of South Pars’ remaining phases (35 months), we tried to transfer and install Phase 20 Jacket and phase 19 platform jacket within the specified time, and we hope to ship all platform jackets for the 35-month project to South Pars Phases Sites within the next 2 to 3 weeks, he noted.

Taheri said that a major part of the structures for South Pars Phases have been already constructed or they are under construction in Khorramshahr Yard. The construction of these equipments is taking place by the Iranian engineers, experts and 4,000 people working in 6 Khorramshahr Yards, according to the latest standards, he said.
