Nexus Energy provide Longtom operational update

Monday, Feb 11, 2013

Nexus Energy Limited (Nexus) advises that, further to the operational updates issued on 14 and 29 January, an offshore intervention program has been completed safely and without incident with the vessel returning to port this morning for demobilisation.

The offshore program involved significant testing of the offshore electrical system. The location of the electrical fault that has caused the interruption to gas production at the Longtom field (since 9 January 2013) has been identified as being within the Santos Limited (Santos) offshore facilities.

The results of the campaign will now be assessed and a subsequent offshore program will be required to enable the return to gas production.
