Chapman Freeborn lands top air charter award for fifth year in a row

Monday, Jun 06, 2011

Chapman Freeborn Airchartering has won the prestigious Air Cargo Charter Broker of the Year prize at the World Air Cargo Awards for the fifth successive year.

The company specializes in moving heavy and outsize pieces and project cargo worldwide – including time-critical cargo charters for the oil and gas industry.

This year’s success continues Chapman Freeborn’s run of winning the air charter category every year since it was established in 2007.

The latest accolade marks the end of another busy year for Chapman Freeborn.

In addition to the regular business of completing urgent and heavy lift cargo charter operations for clients, the company has been involved in responding to events around the world including crises in Tunisia, Egypt, Libya, Ivory Coast and Japan. Thousands of tons of aid cargo including food, medicines, temporary shelter and vehicles have been delivered worldwide for clients.

Elsewhere, Chapman Freeborn continues to expand its global coverage with the opening of a new office in Houston and strengthening its presence in Australasia and Scandinavia, as well as rolling out innovative new product lines including its specialist On Board Courier (OBC) service.

The ACW World Air Cargo award completes a successful awards season for Chapman Freeborn after it was also recently named Air Charter Provider of the Year in Africa at the Air Cargo Africa 2011 awards in Nairobi, Kenya.

Chapman Freeborn has 32 offices in 22 countries and provided over 6,000 cargo and passenger aircraft charters last year, in addition to many ACMI, wet and dry aircraft lease arrangements.
