TNK-BP Spent Over 100 Mln Rubles on Exploration in Saratov Region

TNK-BP’s subsidiary Orenburgneft invested 107.5 mln rubles in geological exploration in the Saratov Region during the first half of 2010.
Orenburgneft holds development licences for two blocks in the Perelyubskiy District of the Saratov Region. Exploratory drilling is now underway in the Kulikovskiy block, while seismic survey works have begun in the Kamelikskiy block (over 100 line km completed).
Development of the licence blocks in Saratov Region is one of the points in the Cooperation Agreement between TNK-BP and the regional government.
