PSA conducts audit of wellhead fatigue at Statoil
Friday, Jan 12, 2018
In December 2017 the Petroleum Safety Authority had carried out an audit of wellhead fatigue at Statoil. The objective of the audit was to verify that issues associated with wellhead fatigue have been addressed and that subsea drilling operations are being conducted in compliance with the companies' own and regulatory requirements.

The audit identified no regulatory non-conformities. PSA observed two improvement points in connection with management of changes and well barriers.

Statoil has been given a deadline of 9 February 2018 to report on how the improvement points will be addressed.
