Safety and Security Consultancy firm Restrata has announced that as of mid-October 2017, they will relocate their Incident Management Centre (IMC) and office functions to new premises at Provender House, Waterloo Quay Aberdeen.

Speaking of the move, Managing Director, Botan Osman explained: “The move is in line with our continued growth and staff acquisition, and a desire to improve on our first-class facilities which provide support to clients around the globe.

“It also reflects our long-term commitment to invest in the oil and gas industry in Aberdeen and the North Sea.”

A range of clients across high risk industries rely on the 24/7/365 Incident Management Centre to help establish the necessary emergency response and crisis management arrangements to allow for the effective management of any incident.

The new and improved facility covers 3800 sq. ft. and sees a new Observation Room added to improve the delivery of exercising and major simulated events. A new phone system will allow for recorded calls for a more auditable service, and cameras and microphones in the Incident Management Room (IMR) will allow services to be provided for client duty managers operating remotely.

Craig Menzies, UK Manager, who oversees the day to day running of the IMC, which has been operating out of Aberdeen since 2012, said, “Incident management is a huge responsibility and it cannot be carried out effectively without having the required infrastructure in place. The new centre has been specifically designed to provide efficient and effective emergency response. It incorporates our many years of experience in the region, to ensure we are well placed to assist our clients.”

The build will start in August and will be complete by mid-October. A detailed project management plan is in place which will ensure that all services are maintained throughout the transition, and it is anticipated that all contact details will remain unchanged.

Headquartered in the UAE, with additional offices and representatives throughout the Middle East, Africa, Asia and Europe, Restrata provides a range of services including physical security consulting, situational awareness and telematics, HSE consulting, crisis and continuity management, workforce development and managed services.
