Gazprom Transgaz Tomsk provided assistance in holding the We’re Same as Everyone! Spartakiada Games for physically challenged children, organized by the Sakhalin Region Ministry of Social Protection.

Forty children from 6 to 17 years old from the Kirovskoye orphanage (Tymovskoye District) and the Preodoleniye social rehabilitation center (Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk) took part in the event held in the Chaika medical & social rehabilitation center in Pionery village, Kholmsk District.

The competition program included basketball, darts, shooting, gorodki and ring tossing as well as a sports song contest.

“Being a socially responsible company, Gazprom Transgaz Tomsk actively participates in charity projects throughout its activity region,” said Valery Shakhov, Director of the Sakhalin Line Pipe Operation Center of Gazprom Transgaz Tomsk. “This sports celebration helped the children to push the limits of everyday routine and feel the abundance of life, understand that they are no worse than others and can take part in sports competitions and other events open to their peers.”

The Gazprom Transgaz Tomsk representatives gave presents to all the young participants of Spartakiada games – photo cameras and tablet computers.
