LHR Marine Unveil New Protecta Energy Absorbing Lanyard

Tuesday, Jun 21, 2011

LHR Marine has unveiled a brand new product in their Protecta range of Working at Height equipment.  The PRO™ Stretch Energy Absorbing Lanyard is the first of its kind from Protecta.  Energy absorption over the entire length means a better balanced lanyard, with no bulky energy absorber to weigh down the user. The Lanyard is also elasticated over its length to retain the maximum desired length, but doesn’t trail on the ground or get in the way.

The PRO™ Stretch Energy Absorbing Lanyard includes a protective Velcro cover for the CE labels, avoiding labels getting pulled off or effaced by abrasion. Various Connectors are available depending on the needs of the user, from standard Karabiners to large opening aluminium Scaffold Hooks.  The built in Activation Indicator is very simple to read and understand.  The Green “OK” indicates the energy absorber has not been deployed, where as the red ”!” indicates the energy absorber has been deployed.  The main function of this is to allow the user to instantly see if its energy absorber has been deployed or not.  It is also an aid to the person performing the Annual Inspection.

In addition to supplying Working at Height Equipment, LHR Marine’s reputation for selling Mooring Equipment is well known internationally and they also represent top quality manufacturers of:, Anti-Slip Solutions, Marine Safety Products, Lifting & Handling Equipment, Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), Workwear and Industrial Supplies.  LHR Marine’s recent successes include global agreements with major subsea shipping companies and international mooring companies which have been established from their service provision for over the last ten years from Aberdeen, Scotland and Perth, Australia.
