Duxvalves contribute towards industry sustainability

Friday, Feb 01, 2013

Duxvalves has integrated Typhoon® technology to achieve cleaner production by challenging the causes to separation problems through optimising flow and turbulence control.

Much like an atmospheric typhoon, the Typhoon valve technology is based on a patented cyclone concept where the flow is forced to swirl through the typical Duxvalve internal chamber.

The benefits are improved oil-water separation, less water in exported oil, less oil in produced water, enhanced multiphase transportation in flow lines and risers, reduction in production costs and less need for production chemicals.

Ultimately, a reduction in the use of chemicals and less oil and chemicals in discharged water reduces the impact on the environment, contributing towards industry sustainability.
