The Subsea UK Global Export Award 2012, sponsored by Scottish Enterprise, was presented to Bowtech Products Ltd of Aberdeen at the Subsea UK 2012 Business Awards Dinner held on Wednesday 8th February 2012. Held at the Aberdeen Exhibition and Conference Centre, attended by over 750 of their peers, the event was an evening to celebrate the industry as a whole and to highlight the success of the selected few who received acknowledgement for their achievements on the night.

Managing Director Steve Bowring, collecting the award on behalf of Bowtech, said “Bowtech began 22 years ago as a net importer, we have changed our business emphasis and now design and manufacture our own products. By implementing an on-going aggressive strategic export plan, and with support from Scottish Enterprise, Scottish Development International and UKTI, Bowtech are currently exporting over 70% of our turnover and have doubled our turnover and staff in the last 5 years as a result. My co directors, Mike Winstanley and Brian Hector, and everyone at Bowtech, were immensely proud to considered for this award and to collect this award in recognition of our export efforts to date is a great honour.”
