An unprecedented Oceanology International experience for Osiris Projects
Monday, Mar 24, 2014

Oceanology hailed a great success for Osiris Projects.

Osiris Projects had a successful and busy week at OI14 on their largest ever stand at the event. Over 500 companies from 35 countries exhibited, and over 8,000 visitors attended over the 3 days, an increase of 10% on 2012 figures. Patrick Clark, Commercial Manager, commented "The event naturally grows with every two years but the sheer volume and, more importantly, calibre of attendees was evident from the 'non-stop' footfall at our stand". As well as announcing the significant investment in 10 new "CodaOctopus" processing licences to support our growing operation, the event was key to finalising a range of hardware acquisitions in relation to our new build vessel "Bibby Athena"; launching at the end of 2014.

Vessel movements in the display area outside the show also proved a record-breaker with 148 movements during the three days with 1198 people aboard (902 of them visitors) and a record number of 13 visiting vessels.

Alongside the exhibition there ran a number of conference programmes where Osiris Projects Survey Manager Gus Pettersson was invited to speak at the Teledyne Reson event. Within the event a number of the technical presentations contained significant volumes of Osiris Projects survey data and the company's UXO mapping data featured heavily.

By the close of play on 13th March 190 exhibiting companies had reserved over 5,000m2 of space for Oceanology International 2016 which will take place on 15th-17th March 2016 at the ExCeL centre, and Osiris Projects will be there.
